Gelato is a visual tribute to my Italian grandfather and his gelateria.

Through a collection of archival family photographs, recorded memories and conversations with relatives, the project traces the history of the gelateria and its significance within our family.

Rather than documenting a business, the publication reflects on legacy, craftsmanship and personal memory. It translates fragments of the past into a contemporary visual narrative. Preserving not only a place, but the atmosphere and devotion that shaped it.
